On June 2, 2026, officials from the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) visited Suhum to inspect a site at the Suhum Presbyterian Senior High School earmarked for new infrastructure.
The Project: The proposed development includes a 12-unit classroom block and a new dormitory facility.
1. Purpose: The project aims to reduce infrastructure deficits, increase student accommodation capacity, and improve the overall teaching and learning environment at the school.
2. Status: Following a successful site inspection, GETFund officials confirmed the land is suitable. The procurement process is in the final stages, and the contract for construction is expected to be awarded shortly.
Significance;
Suhum MCE, Hon. Lydia Ohenewa Sarah, praised the initiative, noting that it aligns with broader government efforts to expand access to quality education and modernize facilities in second-cycle institutions across the country.
