As part of the nationwide Green Ghana Day initiative, the Suhum Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with key partners, spearheaded a widespread tree-planting campaign across communities in the municipality on Wednesday.
Leading the exercise was the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Lydia Ohenewa Sarah, who emphasized the importance of reforestation in the fight against climate change and the need to protect our natural environment for future generations.
In a powerful show of unity and dedication, Hon. Lydia Ohenewa Sarah joined Assembly members, school pupils, traditional authorities, and residents to plant trees in selected areas throughout the municipality. Their hands-on involvement symbolized Suhum’s strong commitment to the national call for environmental sustainability.
The atmosphere was one of shared purpose, as participants enthusiastically dug holes, planted seedlings, and watered young trees—each action contributing to the vision of a greener, healthier Suhum.
