The Suhum Municipal Assembly joyfully commemorated the 41st National Farmers’ Day on 5th of December 2025 in Suhum, honoring the indispensable contributions of the region’s farmers. The day was filled with vibrant festivities, heartfelt appreciation, and a renewed commitment to supporting the agricultural sector in Suhum.
The celebration underscored the tireless dedication and hard work of over 50 farmers in the Suhum Municipality. A highlight of the day was the recognition of Mr. Henry Amoatey, who was crowned the Overall Best Farmer. Mr. Amoatey’s innovative approach to blending cocoa farming with cash crops and poultry/cattle rearing has not only enhanced his productivity but also served as an inspiration to the entire farming community.

In the address, the MCE highlighted the Assembly’s commitment to working collaboratively with farmers to build a resilient economy and achieve higher GDP growth. He assured the farmers that their efforts do not go unnoticed and pledged continued support to address the challenges they face.
