Suhum Municipal Assembly, in a ceremony held earlier yesterday, officially commenced the construction of a new 6-unit classroom block at Adarkwa M/A School. The groundbreaking event signifies a significant stride in the Assembly’s ongoing commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure within the municipality.
The project, which is scheduled for completion within six months, will encompass a comprehensive suite of facilities designed to create a conducive learning environment for students. These include:
a. 1 No. 6-unit classroom. block.
b. 1 No. 2-unit urinal
C. 1 No. 6-unit W/C toilet
d. A mechanized borehole, to ensure a constant water supply
e. Teacher’s Common Room.
f. Provision of desks; for both the new classrooms and existing classrooms, addressing the pressing need for adequate seating for students.
The ceremony was attended by a distinguished gathering of community leaders, including Chiefs from Adarkwa, Otwebediadua, and other dignitaries. Also present were the Director of Education, the Headteacher of Adarkwa M/A School, and members of the entire community, who expressed their profound appreciation for the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Lydia Ohenewaa Sarah, and her vision for prioritizing education within the municipality. The project is seen as a testament to the Assembly’s dedication to improving educational outcomes and providing quality learning resources for all children.
