Friday, November 8, 2024, marked a special day for farmers in Suhum-Amede as they gathered to celebrate the 40th National Farmers’ Day.
The momentous occasion was graced by the Chiefs and queens of the community, some from Suhum, the security agencies, heads of department, the Assembly led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Margaret Darko Darkwa and Frank Bekoe Asiedu, Aka Protozoa, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Suhum Constituency, who shared his vision and policies with the dedicated farmers.
The event honored 30 award recipients and recognized the tireless efforts of all farmers in strengthening the local economy and providing nutritious food for the community.
The celebration serves as a testament to the importance of agriculture in Ghana’s development.
As noted by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, National Farmers’ Day is a calendar event meant to celebrate farmers for their invaluable contribution to the country’s development.
