The Suhum Municipal Assembly is committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable society for all residents, particularly our valued Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs). As part of this commitment, and in line with the government’s policy of empowering vulnerable groups, the Assembly conducted a successful distribution exercise of essential items and assistive devices to registered PWDs within the Municipality. This publication serves as an official report on the distribution process and its positive impact on the beneficiaries.

The primary objective of this distribution was to:

1. Enhance the quality of life for PWDs by providing essential tools and equipment.
2.Promote independence and mobility among PWDs.
3. Improve access to education, vocational training, and employment opportunities for PWDs.
4. Demonstrate the Assembly’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of PWDs.

The distribution process was conducted with utmost transparency and fairness. The following steps were undertaken:

1. Registration Verification: Registered PWDs were verified against the Assembly’s database to ensure eligibility.

2. Needs Assessment: Assessments were conducted to determine the specific needs of each beneficiary.

3. Distribution Centers: Designated distribution centers were established throughout the Municipality for convenient access.

4. Distribution Teams: Trained personnel oversaw the distribution process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.

5. Identification and Documentation: Beneficiaries were required to provide identification and sign for the items received.

6.Feedback Collection: Beneficiaries were given the opportunity to provide feedback on the distribution process.
The distribution exercise has had a positive impact on the lives of our PWDs.
