The Suhum Municipal Assembly has demonstrated its commitment to the well-being of its citizens by supporting a vital four-day eye screening and surgery exercise currently underway at the Suhum Government Hospital.
Municipal Chief Executive Hon.Lydia Ohenewa Sarah, accompanied by other municipal officials, paid a working visit to the hospital today to express their solidarity and provide much-needed support to the initiative. The exercise, a collaborative effort between WATBOR Eye Service and the Day Break Vision Foundation, aims to provide crucial eye care services to residents of Suhum and surrounding areas.
During the visit, the MCE and her team donated a few items to support the ongoing exercise. This contribution is intended to bolster the capacity of the medical teams and enhance the quality of care provided to patients.
The four-day exercise is providing a valuable service to the community by offering a less expensive eye screenings, consultations, and surgeries. This is particularly beneficial for individuals who may lack access to quality eye care due to financial or geographical constraints.
The Suhum Municipal Assembly extends its gratitude to WATBOR Eye Service and the Day Break Vision Foundation for organizing this vital program and urges all residents who need eye care to take advantage of this opportunity.
