The Naabans foundation in collaboration with Star Ghana foundation and British Airways have constructed a mechanized borehole, donated 10 pieces of computers and books to Oboadakaa community on 15th May, 2024.
Charlie Keech a member of the team emphasized that the aim of the foundations is to help small communities that are in need of social amenities such as schools, libraries and portable water etc. She added that they came with their partners British Airways to commission the projects and hand it over to the community. She add that, it will served as an evidence to their sponsors to get more help to support other needy communities.
The Suhum Municipal Information Officer, Ivy Agyapomah Appiah who represented the Municipal Chief Executive said, the MCE was grateful to the foundations for their generosity towards Oboadakaa community and hope that the support is extended to other communities.
The Chief of Oboadakaa, Barfour Okyere Fianko ii expressed his profound gratitude to the queen Mother of Mawere, Nana Abena Asomakyere for working with Naabans foundation to enable them get mechanized borehole, library and computers. He also thanked British Airways and Star Ghana foundation for the support. He appealed for health facility in the community.
The queen Mother of Mawere, Nana Abena Asomakyere advised the community members to see the projects as their own property so that it will last longer.
